Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative currently offers its members a high quality “utility grade” surge suppression product that is installed at the utility meter base to help “capture” storm-related power surges entering over electrical lines. The device provides protection for all standard corded white appliances, such as refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers and garbage disposals.
The low cost of $5.95 per month can be conveniently added to your Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative power bill. An inspection fee will be charged if the member wants a review of home’s electrical grounding system. Members may contact their local district office for more details.
