David J. Jones - Chairman
David Jones, of Bracey, was first elected to the Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative Board of Directors in 1982. He is a director for the Chase City District. Jones also serves on the Board of Directors for Old Dominion Electric Cooperative(link is external), MEC's generation and transmission cooperative.
Franklin B. Myers - Vice Chairman
Franklin B. Myers, of Gasburg, has served on the Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative Board of Directors since 2006. As a director, he represents MEC Members in our Emporia District. Myers is the vice-president of M. M. Wright, Inc. and Gasburg Equipment Company, and president of Gasburg Timber Corporation.
Donald L. Moore - Secretary/Treasurer
Donald L. Moore has been on the Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative Board of Directors since 1993. He represents members in the Gretna District. Moore, who has an associate's degree in business administration, is the owner and operator of Moore Farm, and he has served on the board of the Pittsylvania County Farm Bureau for over 30 years.
David C. Hall
David C. Hall, of Hurt, was elected to the Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative Board of Directors in June 2016. He is a director for the Gretna District. Hall, who has a Bachelors Degree in Architecture from Virginia Tech, is currently retired and operates a small cattle farm.
Brandon G. Hudson
Brandon G. Hudson has served on the Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative Board of Directors since 2005 and is one of three representatives of the Chase City District. Hudson is a self-employed attorney in Halifax County. He specializes in civil transactions and mediation.
Fletcher B. (Bob) Jones
Fletcher B. Jones, of Boydton, was elected to the Board in 1986 and is a director for the Chase City District. Additionally, Jones serves as Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative's representative on the Board of Directors at the Virginia, Maryland and Delaware Association of Electric Cooperatives(link is external). Jones is an insurance agent with the Watkins Insurance Agency in South Hill. Jones is an active member of the South Hill Lion's Club, a member of the Palmer Springs Volunteer Fire Department, and an active member in the Bethesda Baptist Church.
Peggy Lee of Freeman was elected to the Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative Board in 2008 and serves as a director for the Emporia District. She has been executive director for the USDA Farm Service Agency (formerly ASCS) in Lawrenceville for 20 years. Lee also serves as the state regional recruitment coordinator.
Michael H. McDowell
Michael H. McDowell, of Vernon Hill, has served on the Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative Board of Directors since November of 1988. McDowell is a director in the Gretna District. He is owner and operator of Locust Level Farm, which has been recognized for many agricultural achievements.
Angela B. Wilson
Angela B. Wilson was elected to the Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative Board in 2008. She is one of three directors representing the Emporia District. Wilson is an assistant professor and director of teacher education for Mary Baldwin University. She is secretary on the Greensville Memorial Hospital Foundation Board and holds positions in other health-related and youth-oriented organizations.
